THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE SPIRITS INDUSTRY TO THE EU ECONOMY

A study, commissioned by the European Spirits Organisation – CEPS, to quantify the economic impact of the spirit drinks sector in 27 European Union Member States.

Three different effects are distinguished to provide a complete picture of the economic impact of the spirits sector: the direct effects, indirect effects and induced effects. We measured the effects in three areas: employment, value-added and government revenues.
